About Amy
Amy was born and raised on a small family farm in Sandwich, IL where they raised crops, cattle and swine. Early on, she discovered a deep love for animals as she bottle fed baby calves, cared for pigs, dogs and cats.

She showed cross-bred steers in 4-H for 10 years and was active in FFA throughout high school. She attained both the State FFA Degree and American FFA Degree (awarded to less than 1% of FFA Members).

Amy pursued her love of animals by attaining her Associates in Veterinary Medical Technology from Joliet Junior College and then attained her license from the state to be a Certified Veterinary Technician. She worked in Veterinary Medicine for 18 years.

Needing a change of pace, Amy started her real estate career in August 2021 when she accepted the position as an Administrative Assistant. Her transferrable skills and “can-do” attitude made the switch to a different industry seamless. Amy jumped in with both feet and attained her real estate license in April of 2022.

Amy met her husband, Drew, in 2009 and married in 2014. They have made their home less than 2 miles from Amy’s family farm. She is thankful to be able to raise their two children in a rural community, teach them about farming, animals and the value of hard work. In her spare time, Amy enjoys spending time with her family in the great outdoors, hiking, biking, swimming and gardening.

Growing up on the farm, a strong work ethic is a MUST!. Amy carries her work ethic into all areas of her life; she works hard not only for her family, but for yours!

About Amy

Amy grew up in St. Charles, Illinois so this area has always been “Home”. She started riding when she was 8 years old, and has gone from trail riding and open shows to showing on the Appaloosa Circuit at Regional and National levels.

Prior to selling real estate, Amy worked for a real estate appraisal firm for 12 years as the Office Manager. While she didn’t have her appraisal license, this job gave her invaluable experience as it taught her about appraising; how to choose comparable sales and make adjustments to arrive at a market value. It also taught her how to run a business; administrative duties, customer service, bookkeeping and managing.

Amy obtained her real estate license in 2014 and started selling residential homes. In 2018 she upgraded to a Managing Broker License and decided to focus on Farm & Ranch type properties. That is when her business really grew and she realized this was what she was meant to do.
Recently she formed the “Farm Ranch Team” and her goal is to continue to expand the team, as needed to keep up with demand. Amy is working towards her Accredited Land Consultant (ALC) designation thru Realtors Land Institute (RLI) and plans to expand her listings to include larger parcels of land.

Amy currently resides in Kendall County on the 5 acre farmette that she and her husband, Joe, built in 1996. They currently have Appaloosas, Quarter Horses and cats. She is a member of the National ApHC and Longcreek ApHC, NAR, IAR and RLI.

Amy lives in the type of property she represents and loves it! That’s what drives her passion for her specialization.
